Client Feedback

(Nicola and Ben, Front Garden in St Albans) - Our front garden looks great - what a transformation, so happy that we didn't turn it into a drive!!. Thanks Kings Garden Design

Before

The front garden consisted of grass surrounded by a yew hedge, the space had no real colour and seemed very small. Really didn't do the front of the house justice!

Overgrown front garden with no colour or shape
No plants just grasses and hedging
The front garden looked very small and didn't compliment the house
un-usable space which needed structure, plants and some colour

During

The hedge was removed and new design applied. The Lawn area was levelled and borders prepared by digging in topsoil and compost

Instantly the space looks bigger once the garden has been cleared
The soil required turning, compost and soil improver added - the ground was then levelled
Once the edging was fitted the garden started to take shape. Structural plants were chosen to act as real focal points in the garden
Planting completed - now for the turf!.

After

The interlocking squares make the space appear wider. The planting consisted of structural evergreen plants surrounded by purples and silvers which make a great colour combination!.

Plants really set the garden off - combination of large leafed architectual plants with some softer grasses, best bit it's low maintenance!
The space looks so much bigger with the interlocking squares and the bold planting
Combination of greens, silvers and purples really work well
The white edging looks striking against the green turf
